28.02.2026 16:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0She didn't even go house hunting. Her 'best friend' had to hand the option to her on a plate. #TheArchers Given her lack of proactivity I'm thinking she'll invent a host of obstacles and reasons not to

28.02.2026 11:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ha, yes, the full-on determination often has a 'say it enough times buddy and you'll believe it' ring to me #TheArchers. On the Kirsty front, I'm feeling there are going to be ructions of some kind
28.02.2026 11:24 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The young guy I mentioned who did click with my humour - it was his first corporate tech job. Before that he'd had hospitality jobs
28.02.2026 11:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's interesting. I'd always worked in creative environments. Then I switched to a more corporate male techy company and that's when I noticed the difference.
28.02.2026 11:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0One young guy I worked with enjoyed the same sense of the ridiculous but he was an outlier. As a serious answer to your question - I noticed that even in communication with clients there was a lack of appreciation that there's sometimes a different meaning between the lines
28.02.2026 11:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Weaponised incompetence. He's pissed off he has to do it because he thinks it's 'her job' so is pass agg punishing her. Happens a lot. At the launderette, a man who was tying his partners' tights together in a huge knot told me it was so he didn't have to come to the launderette any more
28.02.2026 11:04 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have to be really careful with humour these days with younger people, whether ND or not. No irony and no silliness or absurdity.
28.02.2026 11:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What is going on? I asked google if she'd split from Martin Pocock and it just said 'Thinking'

No one seems to care about Dane.
Not even the listeners.

27.02.2026 15:40 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Me neither. When Pat'n'Tone talk about him though it's always 'And Hellin's so happy with Dane' in a settled, coupley way. When she dumps him and he asks if there was anyone else on the scene my guess is she'll lie unconvincingly and he won't be happy #TheArchers
27.02.2026 14:26 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Indeed. Still, better than bringing her actual boyfriend π±#TheArchers
27.02.2026 14:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks, Falke. I went back to the article in case I'd misunderstood. Definitely no mention of heat exchangers in Grauniad! Another case of 'shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers.' Here's a grab of the article - and diagram - if you haven't seen it yet.

26.02.2026 11:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's a piece in today's Guardian that gives some detail. Steam from the 190Β°C water drives the turbine, as you say. After that point the water temp drops to 50Β°C which is ideal for extracting the lithium. (I don't think #R4Today has a science editor.) The plant is near Truro.
