I must rewatch it at some stage. I just didn't buy the ending of him been a changed man when he sees his baby. Josh Safdie said that it meant that Marty was now going to be a family man. I think that he would have walked out on them both after a few months. Maybe I'm just dead inside. 😄

I liked a lot about it. The rich production values and a cast full of interesting and real faces. But Marty himself was still a tripping point for me.

Marty Supreme is a film about American hustle and would be disruption. It's made with impressive flair but it can't overcome the problem that it's driven hustler is fundamentally an unsympathetic arsehole.

#nowwatching Marty Supreme. I must confess that the whole ping pong of it all made me longfinger this one. But it's quite good.

Late notice but I have 1 ticket to the surprise film at the Dublin Film Festival at 17:30 today in the Light House Cinema. I'd prefer to sell it and get my €14 back but I'd consider giving it away as it's so late in the day.

Maybe you should start with Season 3 for the craic. Every episode was directed by Lynch, so that's nice.

I highly, highly recommwnd treating your library like a video rental place from days of yore*. Popping in and nabbing a new release banger for the weekend. There's nothing like it.

But make it part of a multi-movie Jack Nicholson biopic. I've never seen Head but I do find it amusing that Nicholson co-wrote and produced it. What a dude.

It's definitely worth bumping up your list.

The trailer suggests that Mars nationalism is kicking in. Which could make this show a prequel to The Expanse.

Eva Green just can't stay away from us. She's filmed more tv shows and movies here then many Irish actors.

The only thing that could improve this pitch would be "vs. Lego Batman".
