🚨 May 27, 2023, Ken Paxton, TX AG, was impeached by the TX House of Representatives with 20 articles of impeachment related to abuses of power. He was miraculously acquitted in September. One of his charges was related to using state monies to meet up with his mistress.

It was never just about books, just about kids and teens, just about bathrooms, just about sports, just about any single issue they have targeted over the last decade.

It has always been about trying to eliminate an entire class of people. First from public spaces, then from existing.

We have a visitor today.

I took the quiz, too. Low level. I think age, survival, and membership in the We Do Not Care Club have helped. I probably would had had stronger symptoms 20 years ago.

I don’t want a ballroom. I want, among other things, PBS, clean water, and for other countries to not loathe us.

In the same way they don’t really read the books they attack, FL book banners clearly haven’t used Beanstack. I have, both as a librarian & patron. Beanstack’s “content” is user created: titles & authors of books the user has read. Objecting to Beanstack = objecting to reading altogether.
