Sounds like Warren County, NJ. On top of the nepotism-driven political patronage appointees with no credentials or relevant experience, the library board calls concerned community members “stupid” behind closed doors and is secretly changing the bylaws, refusing to hear input from the community.

I hate this. So much. A few weeks ago, I was at a forum with Steven Pico, who said, “Book banners are very good at choosing excellent literature.” This is just more proof of that. Read what they hate; you’ll be better for it.

Operation "Epic Fury" should actually be the response of women across the country currently who are sick of this shit. WE ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH.

For my first 7 years as a HS librarian, I also worked part time as a public librarian. Eventually I worked my way up the salary guide so that I could meet my monthly expenses with 1 job, but even that paycheck was a fraction of what my corporate job paid. The work was more satisfying & fun, though.
