23-06 Module — Vertiq The 23-06 Module is designed for industrial sUAS applications. The module is a tightly integrated motor and 30A, 6S ESC with an embedded position sensor.

E-waste drone motor, specifically my old rotary magnetic bow motor with bearings I ruined by not properly balancing the wheel. Since I ruined it, I figured I'll really destroy it with drumming. Controlled by RP2040 acting as a USB MIDI device.

Very fun! This as a test platform for experiments in rhythm synthesis as an alternative to sequencers. It sums oscillators in Pd and strikes a beat at the zero crossings. The rhythm can be morphed by changing the phase and amplitude of the oscillators using MIDI sliders. It gets pretty damn funky.

Back when doing top-down "AI" in the 90s (think expert systems written in Prolog) the idea of releasing an untraceable/unknowable system was seen as pure reckless insanity that would get you sued in an instant.

This is why advocacy work around Algorithmic Accountability is so vital. We already apply Algorithm Impact Assessments some areas of IT and this concept needs to be more wide spread.
