We have a custom POS system that handles store credit. When Nicole receives an order for a gift certificate, she sends a request over to the staff to put the credit on the account for that order. It's a semi-manual process but fairly easy for us to manage.

Perhaps make a nice website without ecommerce integration. We ditched using Shopify at Common Sort for our gift certificates, and now just take e-transfers. Super simple. No need for fancy e-commerce and all the fees that go with it. We've done way better with e-transfers.
