One of my favorite memories from summer. Took our REU students and a few grads up to Yerkes (more pictures of that later) on the 4th of July weekend. We watched the fireworks and the moon rising from a dock on the George Williams College campus. An all too brief moment of calm.

Yeah, I cancelled group hack session in Champaign tomorrow because it's 100F actual for the high. I know one of my students has to walk in and another has to use the bus, and it's not worth the risk. Really unpleasant bike ride home today and it was 10 F cooler...
