In our second operation this week, Blue Dragon has rescued a 15-year-old girl from slavery in a forced marriage. She was trafficked from her home in rural Vietnam more than a year ago. We are now providing counseling and legal representation.

When children can't get to the classroom, Blue Dragon takes the classroom to the streets.
Every child deserves an education; it's the most certain way of keeping them safe from exploitation. And it's the only way to make sure they can thrive as they grow.

Children and families are vulnerable to exploitation & trafficking when they live in extreme poverty. This family in the northern mountains was living without electricity. Now they're connected to the grid and have light in their home for the first time!

In the past week, Blue Dragon has rescued 5 Vietnamese girls & women from slavery. Three were in Myanmar brothels; two were in forced online scamming in Cambodia. As we continue to respond to calls for help, we aim to end human trafficking by preventing it in vulnerable communities around Vietnam.

In Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, homeless families can be seen by the roadside selling food and wares, or collecting scrap for recycling.
Through street outreach, Blue Dragon meets children and families to offer a chance to break the cycle of poverty through education, housing and employment.

Justice is essential to healing. People who are trafficked and sold need to know that the law is on their side. Cases like these are a vital part of Blue Dragon's work to end human trafficking in Vietnam.

Blue Dragon was in two court cases this week representing victims of human trafficking against their traffickers. Sentences of up to 18 years in prison were handed out and financial compensation ordered in both cases.

In our 2nd operation this week, Blue Dragon has rescued 2 women from a brothel in Myanmar. They were trafficked 3 months ago from their rural village, and sold to a brothel inside a criminal enterprise. Pictured here crossing back to Vietnam, they are now safely home and receiving our support. 

Blue Dragon has rescued 4 Vietnamese men, aged 20 to 30, from slavery in Myanmar. The men were trafficked between 3 months and a year ago; sold into forced online scamming in the civil war zone. Seen here on the crossing back to Vietnam, all are now safe and have given statements to police.

Oanh's rise to cooking instructor Phi almost died of a brutal illness. He rose again, thrived in his dream job and started giving back to kids like him.

As a child, Oanh collected and sold scrap to pay her school fees. With a little help from Blue Dragon, she finished her studies and went on to have a career she loves. Read on to be inspired by her story.

For street kids, it's transformational.
When children can't make it to school, we bring the school to them. And then we go further.
We train social workers from other charitable organizations so that they, too, can use play as a tool for learning.

Last night, Blue Dragon rescued a 31-year-old Vietnamese man from slavery in Cambodia. He was trafficked into a scamming compound and forced to work online for more than five months. Pictured here arriving at the border, he is now safely on his way home with our support.

Rescuing kids from crisis and keeping them safe involves helping them find their strengths and passions.
For many kids at Blue Dragon, football is a lifeline to keep them connected and looking forward to tomorrow.
