As much as I find her and her policies dangerous, she did give the Democrats the 'middle finger'. Until members in Congress and candidates ask for her resignation, until bar associations call for complaints about unethical legal behavior which caste aspersion on all lawyers, she will not change.

Readers are correctly pointing out that on the one hand ICE are trying to normalize everything (which protestors are not conceding). And the Trump and ICE will settle for Plan B, settle for a civil war.

Slow motion normalization of fascism. Maybe not so slow motion. Minn. residents recognize that one tool they are using are their protestss. And ICE and Trump leaders need to foster this normalization and strike back at us.

This is Trump's playbook. Trump will proactively claim a win. Amanda Carpenter wrote about this technique (she worked for Cruz in 2016 Repub primary). Based on her book, he will claim success and any mistakes or weaknesses will be someone else's.
