Kiki meeting the daughter and getting along with her was basically the final test, so at last I can say with absolute certainty that Kiki 100% has her forever home 🥹

update: I can’t post the pics for this one, but Kiki met the adopter’s daughter for the first time this weekend and they’re INSEPARABLE 🥹🥹🥹

LOL it’s just one of those things that you won’t ever think about if you don’t see it but it collects dust and dirt like none other

I’m pretty tall to begin with but I walked into the kitchen today to say hi to my mother while wearing my new shoes and thought “Jesus Christ I am a titan now.”

really enjoying my new running shoes that make me approximately 2” taller. no longer am I only able to see on top your fridge. I can now see on top your elevated microwave. it’s dusty.

turns out AMC actually has a lot of cool assistive equipment, I’ll definitely be checking into this myself if I take my dad to another theater :o

I googled it to make sure and it is a thing! not for every movie, but they try to provide them when possible! I wonder if what Jackie saw wasn’t one of those movies bc AMC, for instance, says if a movie is advertised as having CC it means it supports this device, you just have to know to ask for it

I’ve had that happen a handful of times and it never fails to be funny (and kinda wholesome the time an actual Satanist asked me for advice bc they misunderstood lol)

not to jump in uninvited, esp since I know his movie isn’t being shown everywhere, but I’ve seen ppl at theaters before with little boxes they’ve rented from the theater that show captions for deaf/HOH folks, so if you haven’t already, maybe you could ask your theater if they have that option?

I had a dream that they announced a new kingdom hearts game and Emet-Selch was there and he shot goofy

got these photos from her new dad today, she’s always snuggled up either on him or next to him and follows him from room to room when he gets up 😭💕 he keeps saying how grateful her is for, buddy I think Kiki’s even MORE grateful for YOU 🥹

she wasn’t swiping at me in that pic, I had pulled my hand away and she was stretching her paw out to try to pull my hand back to her 😭

I’m really hoping someone gentle and patient will come in and want her bc it’s going to take a very special someone to adopt her ;;

she’s still very scared, she stays hidden under the cat tree most of the time even in her own private room and still hisses when I first walk in, but she purrs when I pet her, meows for more pets and reaches for my hand, shows me her belly, and even willingly fully comes out in the open eventually 🥹

I guess no one had updated him that she wasn’t going to have to be put down after all 😭

the adopter also told us that Kiki is absolutely obsessed with him lol she follows him everywhere and snuggles up in his lap at every available opportunity 🥹

the adopter saw Kiki’s late owner’s brother at church and told him about Kiki and showed him photos

“oh that looks just like my sister’s cat! they even have the same name! 🥲”

“…yes, that’s bc it IS her cat ☺️”

he didn’t know she had been saved and started crying and GAH 😭💕

okay cool, I just know one too many ppl who read the book after watching the movie and didn’t know what they were getting into lol

and yeah. ugh. I don’t like the universe we’ve found ourselves in.

just making sure, you know the book’s nothing like the movie right? (I know the book’s contents won’t bother you but I don’t want you to go in blind thinking it will be like the musical lol)
