My dear friend Nader alerted me to two Iranian members of the Arsenal family, Aref Jafarzadeh and Amir Housein, who were killed while seeking freedom in Iran. We remember them. ❤️

I watched two delivery drivers yesterday get into a physical altercation over each trying to go the opposing way on a minimally plowed street. It was a summation of how our transport, logistics, and consumption methods have failed everyone.

Our initial analysis is up.

The video footage appears to show that the gun was taken away from the man before he was shot.

He was UNARMED before any of the shots were fired.

The world should not come here. There should not be a World Cup here.
I spoke out against the last World Cup because of concerns I had about human rights violations and it’s only right that I express the same concerns and condemnations now.

"Slow down to fuck over ICE" is actually an anti-speeding message that may resonate with drivers

Not the main issue in this video, but why does it appear that the ICE vehicle has a disability tag hanging from the mirror?

Facebook screenshot of a post from DMV News Now with a picture of Williams smiling.

"A DC photojournalist was run over and killed by a suspect fleeing from police near The White House in downtown Washington DC.

26 year-old Aaron Marckell Williams had been struck while crossing in the crosswalk at 16th Street and L Street NW Wednesday afternoon.

It was later revealed that DC Police had attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect, 20 year-old Santana Matthews, before he ran a red light and killed Williams. Matthews has now been charged with Second Degree Murder.

Williams was a photojournalist for the Washington Informer and was heading to a nearby church to take photos for a story.

“We are heartbroken over the loss of Marckell Williams — a talented photographer, storyteller, and beautiful soul who was once part of the Washington Informer family,” the statement from @washinformer reads. “His passion for capturing people, culture, and truth will never be forgotten.”"

Photojournalist Aaron Marckell Williams was killed in a crosswalk as the result of a police chase over a traffic violation. DC local law had made such chases illegal - House Republicans voted to overturn that law last year.
