We live in the tropics and are used to high humidity levels. I know everyone says that dry heat is more tolerable, but I think the fact that you don’t sweat makes it a lot worse because you can’t cool off in the shade. overall, I would say we both really did not like it!

Yes. At least we thought 111 was intense heat, I know that it does get hotter. it was brutal because even in the shade it’s not much cooler because you’re not sweating because of low humidity

I finished North Woods by Daniel MasonIt took me awhile to process the story and decide if I liked it I have decided that I loved it.It’s a complex,well written story of a house and the stories that pass through it over the years.Not an easy read,but a really satisfying one.

I too love those things, but the long northern nights and short days are not good for my mental health, so while I love the colors and the crispness in the air, I struggle with the other side of the coin. Hence the bitter sweetness

A small bright red maple tree sitting on the Bank of a river. All of the foliage around it is green as the sunlight lights the opposite bank.
