I mean, there is no war in Portland. There just isn’t. You can’t & won’t avoid reporting this story. But you’ll still find a way to try to report it in a way that gives him the benefit of the doubt.

And that’s wrong.

Stephen Miran has outlined his case for massive rate cuts. The logic is utterly tortured—and bizarre.

One explanation: He’s the president’s messenger. Another: He thinks his career benefits from flattering power. A third: He’s inhaled too many White House talking points. None inspire confidence.

One thing I've learned from the Internet is that a lie needs 0% proof to be believed, but the truth requires thousands of pages of proof and still won't be believed.

Just letting you Americans know from those out side. You lot were in an authoritarian dictatorship when you didn't come out in 100's of thousand to protest that a president is above the law.

Lemme spell it out. Trump's only leverage over Jimmy Kimmel and ABC came from FCC regulation. His direct power over H1-B visas gives him similar leverage over tech, higher ed, and others.

Step 3: There's no evidence cuts to food stamps led to a rise in hunger

The White House may call it deregulation, but in reality, it's replacing written rules with unwritten rules. (Rule 1: "Don't upset the President.") It's swapping transparent, tested rules for secret, shifting ones. One set serves the public interest, the other reflects the President's whims.

Think of an economy as like baking a cake. H1-B visas exist so that if you're out of a specific ingredient, you can Instacart it and keep baking. Add a $100k delivery charge and you'll choose to:
1. Quit baking; or
2. Use an inferior recipe; or
3. Import cake instead of making it

Normally it’s one or the other: weak growth or rising inflation. But tariffs gave us both. Welcome to the economics of supply shocks and stagflation.
