Trump's decision to take over the police despite historically low crime and no protests etc. The President literally requires NO provocation to impose emergency measures.

11.08.2025 18:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As a Ukr specialist, I have mixed feelings on Iran: 1 A hatred of the IRI that is totalitar and supprts Russia BUT 2 an appreciat of why a small-med sized country wld want nukes in a world where nukes virt the only deterrent to invasion. Not defeating Russia encourages nuclear proliferation.

12.06.2025 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Far less egregious imo than the many many Dems who fought to keep Biden on the ticket when it was obvious that he was incapable.

09.05.2025 11:27 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How could a pope who was so good in so many areas have been so awful with regards to Russia? Genuine question. Does it have something to do w Latin American left?
22.04.2025 14:32 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The newsrooms of 21st century America exist in a parallel factual universe where questions are raised and raised again, sometimes prompting concerns, sometimes prompting further questions, but never, ever answers.

Look, I have my criticisms of the Trump administration.
But when RFK Jr ends autism by September, the libs are going to look pretty foolish for having doubted him.
really hard to advise ANYONE to get educated in the States right now.
12.04.2025 21:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is a very good point that I haven't seen made yet.
It's not just Trump that is undermining trust in the US. It is also the inability of US institutions to stop him.
And even if you make that "inability to stop him so far," it's already too far to maintain trust.
www.nbcnews.com/politics/nat... first overt threat to directly terrorize American citizens and control targeted opponents. We are headed to a one man authoritarian state.

08.04.2025 23:28 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0But how can you say that it predicted the collapse of dmocrsacy when many whio itilize this perspective ewould see no difference between the US under Biden and the US under Trump? Genuine question.
02.04.2025 22:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sort of. But many Marxists see no difference between the Republican and Democratic parties. But that is obviously wrong imho..
02.04.2025 22:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0true. But almost everyone studying the USSR in the 1980s viewed the country as in decline. And the hiyper centralization of the party meant that Gorbachev had the capacity to destroy the system single handedly.
02.04.2025 22:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I know that this is the least of our concerns. But the failure of political science to in any way anticipate the breakdown of democracy in the United States is truly astounding.

Itβs ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?
