Lovely photo. I love photos that are able to show the harmony AND contrast of the human body with nature. Those roots/branches are really nicely treated.

San Jose photographer. Bodyscapes, Figures. Often combined with nature and / or plastic. “That’s weird!!!” is a compliment

When it’s cold goosebumps make skin more textured. Texture is good in photos. Unless you are the textured person. In that case texture means you’re cold.

Sorry about that. The thing that is truly frustrating is that they never really tell you what you did “wrong”. So what’s the point of telling you about the standards when I bet that, strictly speaking, you are following them.

It frustrates me that I want to iterate on certain shots. But I find myself having to reinvent the wheel in trying to figure out exactly what lighting modifier I used or where I placed or aimed the light.

Juxtaposition of plastic and a body. Basically a bodyscape with just one plasticscape. (Btw… I made up that word in case you didn’t know.)

Such a cool shot. I especially love the subtle glow on the right thigh.

01.06.2025 23:17 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It seems to be an auto label for any nudity. So every time I post a photo I challenge the extra label of sexual and they always take that label off. It’s a pain in the butt but it is still a lot better than having the photo being called sexual and being taken down for showing a piece of a human body

Although it confuses people when I say it, the reason that I like plastic sheeting is that it is organic. Or at least it generally moves in the light organically.

Often, life is about looking out from the shadows into the light
The reason I didn’t go BW with it is that my style of BW is often contrasty/rough. So for softer treatments of bodyscapes I often just stick with the color as it is usually fairly monochromatic. Not a rule, a preference.
But thks for the comment because I will have to revisit these in the future.

Plastic in motion… well, not really cause it is just a blurred photoshop brush I made. But the idea came from plastic in motion which has a gentler smoother look.
