We need to erase the terms “broken home” and people are “broken” from the vocabulary!

Homes aren’t broken! We can just say parents got divorced or it was toxic

People aren’t broken! People experience difficult things and need healing

This is a key indicator between a healthy or a toxic relationship

I know this is a hot take, but…

KB said Ed was upset that the theme was Western and he was talking saying “I’m not doing that”

She interrupted him to say “hey sweetheart”

She is yelling at him for dismissing her, when she interrupted him

That’s why he didn’t want to apologize

It’s one thing for Joe to have a break down and unhealed trauma

It’s so mean to say “I feel like we made it a lot farther in this than we would have in real life”

It implies there’s something wrong with what he got to know about her, and he’s not denying that or explaining

This is an example of codependency, which is one of the biggest red flags of a toxic relationship and possible abuse to come

Don’t mold lives around people, build a shared together around both your independent lives

Even though he literally just said I don’t want to marry you, and I do love you, and I’m staying with you

It’s a psychological manipulation move to try to get her to do anything to be with him

Healthy love does not have expectations

It may or may not be a problem how much Anton drinks

But a BIG problem is that he gaslit Ali
He said he and Patrick had 2 each

Then later said 1 each

Anton is gaslighting Ali and THAT is for sure a problem

I almost rated 3 stars because it didn’t feel like much of a thriller, but the twists at the end made it so good!

TW: Its much more about child abuse and neglect, and hoarding, than it is a thriller. I think it’s an important read

I got to meet the incredible Heidi Yewman today, and hear her tell her courageous story of advocacy 💕
