Hello void of the Internet

I just learned that I managed to get a contract where I can be home for my best friend's birthday this year.

I fought hard for this and I should be happy. But I can't really share it with them because they don't want to talk to me ATM.

So I'll share it with the void.

I made a breakthrough in my mental health yesterday, but the one person in my life I'd feel comfortable talking to about it doesn't want to hear from me right now.

So I guess I share that little victory with the void here.

Better than nothing but still makes me feel like shit. Like it's worthless.

Haj volunteered to handle my work tonight so I can celebrate new year how I like: In quiet contemplation.
(Not really, but having my Haj with me will definitely help me on this emotional day, this year, where I struggle to see a silver lining)

Blåhaj (and me) recently went to a great Aquarium/Wildlife Sanctuary and while I went swimming with the big sharks (but no pictures of that), Haj got to meet the young Nurse Sharks up close in their nurse shark nursery.

Recently I, as a European, held US-Dollars in my hands for the first time and my brain said "save that Dollar-Note from the top. It's your first dollar. It's an important memento"

I did, but I didn't know where it got the idea.

I felt horrible the last few weeks (mentally), but having a really nice and long day out helped a lot I think.
Haj also found a teeny coconut, so their day was also quite successful

Well, seems like I just found my second career once I get tired of my current one.

After all: From the first slingshots to modern rockets: Who would we be as humanity if we didn't use our intellect to increase our yeeting-capabilities to beyond what we ever thought possible?

Hmmm... I see two ways to go about this endeavor:

1. The Jules Verne approach: Giant Gun. Very industrial, capitalist even. Very symbolic.

2. Giant trebuchet. Archaic, but definitely more fun. A spectacle. Also quite reusable and eco friendly. We could make it yearly and call it "The big Yeet".

I'm surprised it works so well whenever I do it so here's a tipp for you all:
When you're having a long day and feel like you're out of energy for your next task: Put on some fresh socks. Just do it.
I don't know why it works, but it's easy and does wonders.
