Probably. As I said I really struggle to understand this, especially from outside the UK. It must be hard for racists to argue that there are too many black & brown faces in the NHS but those on TV surely support their narrative that there are very many? Then they just need to add false crime stats.

My point is that if people with black and brown faces are saving lives in the NHS that's great. And if people with black and brown faces are selling products on TV that's great too, although less important for society.

There can be few things more cynical than two men inventing an all-female group and co-opting the phrase 'girl power'.

I think Reform voters would read this from the bottom. They want the death penalty. They don't think everyone should be allowed to vote. And no to education because we've had enough of experts.

Your point about the hotel receptionist is important. I know Reform voters who wouldn't be able to name the PM. No doubt there are many more. And politicians hope the electorate will carefully assess the value of the EU or the ECHR.

The prime minister has a lot of influence over Ofcom, and even more over law enforcement. If he chooses not to exercise that influence for fear of souring relations with the USA that's the issue.

He holds it to account by using existing government apparatus including Ofcom and HMRC. And if you don't think dangerous racists are a top problem for the UK we'll disagree.
