An unbelievable privilege and experience today visiting the world leading #ALmA telescope at 5000m in Chile! 🧪🔭 Plus we saw some local fauna!

Less than a week until this year's @mayodarkskies.bsky.social Festival! Here's a snippet from 2022 looking at lighting to preserve dark skies, and how nature is a gift for life!

This is our biggest result so far this year (IMHO)! 🔭🧪 The M87* #blackhole is clearly cocooned in a turbulent, magnetised plasma and we can now resolve it changing in real time (albeit slowly). Excitingly we plan to do the first 2 month "movie" campaign looking ever 3-4 days in spring 2026!
