A crow whistles to itself on a bright winter day. It's scratching at the snow with its foot. It sees something blue and plastic sticking out of the snow and says "Hello what's this". It reaches to pick it up with its beak and yanks it out with a "shing!"

The thing is revealed to be a blue bic pen. The crow holds it triumphantly above its head. There is a magic light emanating from the pen which is creating a blue crosshatching effect on the sky.

The ship

A large, headless tetrapod mech opens fire across the desert sands with a minigun and a light cannon. The mech has heavy, square shoulder pads loaded with missile launchers, and a frontal, vertical row of eye-sensors. Behind and above it, other similar mech are taking flight, compacting their form into a different configuration, or shooting with a flamethrower.

A young woman with braided hair, a humble tunic, a hemp rope belt and callous hands holds a book and extends her hand, smiling, in friendship; the same woman, now old and wrinkled, uses a wooden walking stick and raises a shriveled hand to make a hieratic sign. Above the two figures, a majestic version of this woman with her hair free-flowing, flames and sparks erupting over her brow and from her open hands, offers a hug. Small signs mark her face around her white eyes, and a rhombus halo shines behind her head.

A brawler, struggling to remain standing but still fighting. The man has raggedy hair, some nose bandage, and wears a reinforced leather combat vest over a shirt with its sleeves rolled up to show a well-defined physique. The man also wears a codpiece, metal-knuckled gloves, and large training armbands and greaves with leather, straps and four small round shields, strapped with six bolts and various leather straps over the two knees and the two forearms.

A close look of a pirate ship's cannons, ready to fire. A man with an eyepatch and a brimmed hat lurks close to the windows. A second sailing vessel ahead moves across the waters, tilting to the right as they swerve.
