Finished up The Murderbot Diaries #1 and I loved it. I was not expecting to identify this hard with a character called ‘Murderbot’, but here we are. Don’t know if I’ve ever encountered the trifecta of ace, agender, and autism rep in the same character before, which hit hard.

Finished Six of Crows today, and I loved it. Can’t wait to start the sequel. A unique magic system set in a grimy, lived-in world with a real rogue’s gallery of protagonists. Their motivations are wildly varied in an interesting way. Definitely worth the time.

Just watched Frankenstein and it is a stunningly beautiful movie. The visual storytelling is top notch and the acting is superb. They do take some liberties with the story but then, Victor was always an unreliable narrator. As a fan of the book, I loved it.

I just came in second out of about 100 people at the Rocky Horror 50th showing! I went as Dr. Scott during Rose Tint My World (I’ll have to get someone to send me the picture). The stilettos were a huge pain up and down the stairs, but worth it.

I’ve made the terrible decision to throw together a Dr. Scott costume for the 50th anniversary showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show. On the plus side, I learned I can walk in heels.

It’s been 12 years since the last time I ate at Dirt Candy, and it is still as incredible as I remember. Hands down my favorite restaurant ever.

Wrapped up Gideon IX. I went in with few expectations from a book described to me as lesbian necromancers in space, and it still wasn’t what I expected (in a good way). A slow start but, once it moves, it doesn’t stop. Incredible characters in a complex world. Great book.
