Very first attempt to simultaneously receive L-band (1698 MHz) and S-band (2247.5 MHz) NOAA-19 downlinks using the experimental L/S/X feed.

Working on a L/S/X triband feed for WX/EO satellites. Have been using a partially 3D printed L/X feed so far, but it was time for an upgrade. Pictures show the ugly prototype in the focus of my 1.4 m dish on the balcony. It looks promising but more testing is needed of course.

DIY fiberglass dish experiments
December 2024 A while ago, I made a fiberglass copy of a small 80cm offset dish. Covering it with aluminum tape worked very well, made the surface reflective and Ku band TV signals where on par witβ¦
A while ago, I made a 80cm fiberglass dish. Alu tape made the surface reflective . Here I am exploring other alternatives like adding copper powder to polyester resin or painting it with conductive paint followed by copper plating . More on the page below:
