With his score today Herman Ese'ese equalled the record for tries in consecutive matches by a prop in the summer era, tying Tyler Dupree's record of 6 for Oldham in 2021.

The winter era is not easy to analyse at this stage, but this is likely to be an all-time record too.

Incredible growth in the data available on our website right now. Over 1,500 new players added in the past 6 weeks, which is great news for RL stats fans. It's less good news if you have responsibility for double checking the information that's been loaded...

Great to hear that @hullkr.bsky.social have confirmed they will be announcing attendance figures game-by-game again this season.

Wigan and Leigh have tonight played out the first RL match ever to finish 1-0 in extra time.

It's only the 4th game in history to finish 1-0, and only the 2nd in the top flight.

The last 0-0 was Whitehaven-Workington, 28/12/1993.

Wigan were in the last top flight 0-0, V. Cas, 26 Jan 1974.

With his hat-trick on his return to @leedsrhinos.bsky.social, Ryan Hall moved to within 5 tries of Mick Sullivan's 19th spot on the all-time try scorers chart. He's now 27 clear of Josh Charnley, who could move into the top 25 in the next few weeks

None of them have. Only Warrington have started every season in the top league division, though did have 7 games in the 'middle 8s' in 2017. All of them have also played lower league teams, including amateurs, in cup games too of course.

8 clubs have played more than 4,600 first-class matches of RL.

All were part of the 1895 breakaway, and bar Warrington have completed 127 seasons (Wire's ground was unavailable for 4 years during World War Two).
