My sweet girl Moon went on her first trail walk today. A day of firsts - her first country walk ever, her first trip in a car that wasn’t being revoked, and my first hike since my ankle injury.

It went excellently for both of us and she continues to be an angel.

Also I got taken for multiple hearing tests for years because they refused to believe I could have an attention deficit and just thought I must be secretly deaf lmao

One time I got taken to a wedding reception for a family I did not know as like a 7 or 8 year old and was so overstimulated and told I couldn’t bring any books that I spent 90% of it in a toilet cubicle hiding and crying, and that was just me being rude apparently.

When I think too hard it literally blows my mind how I was obviously a very mentally ill child and on the spectrum and even the “professionals” around me did nothing.

Like half my family worked in childcare and when I had massive meltdowns in public from anxiety I was just a spoiled brat.

I’ll share it here because I’m not up to sharing it on my irl socials yet but yesterday we met our rescue dog for the first time!

Her name is Moon, and she’s a sweet angel. We’re hoping to have her by Christmas.
