I think I finished up my one-shot DND Christmas adventure. It's humorous, quick and tight. I think.

It also has numerous pages of history and lore and background, but how else would I write?

I miss this type of scrounging survival RPG so much. Definitely gotta try it again soon.

And trying to roleplay in a world without texture makes everything surface level. Why do my feelings for (adventure plot) details matter if the details for the actual world the adventure exists in doesn't matter?

Oh man, yeees. These are the fun, curious, and interesting questions I like researching for my setting, for what I am building - be it an adventure hook, a regional location, or a hideout. Knowing how it fits into the surrounding area and clicks in with everyday folks? The best.

I'm writing a "Christmas" one-shot for #dnd5e. it's made me think about holidays, fun, and joy in a campaign setting that is normally pretty bleak. I'm really enjoying it. Once I'm done with it imma put it up for free so other people can tell me what they think and use it!!
