Thank you, agree with all that has been said. I am not one of your constituents and live in Poole, but am pleased that you are raising this.

For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was the stranger and you invited me in, I need to clothes and new clothes to me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me…

Saw Chihuly’s exhibition in 2014 at the #halcyongallery
vibrant, life-affirming exhibition in a stunning gallery space.
2 very slightly reluctant friends were bowled over and converted.

Highly recommend a visit to Oriel Mon museum & gallery Llangefni, Anglesey to see the collection of Tunnicliffe’s work. Beautiful measured drawings and images familiar from Ladybird books. Excellent museum, gallery, shop and cafe too.

How to Avoid Mixing Your Metaphors
Β
It’s not rocket surgery.
First, get all your ducks on the same page.
After all, you can’t make an omelette
without breaking stride.
Β
Be sure to watch what you write
with a fine-tuned comb.
Check and re-check until the cows turn blue.
It’s as easy as falling off a piece of cake.
Β
Don’t worry about opening up
a whole hill of beans:
you can always burn that bridge when you come to it,
if you follow where I’m coming from.
Β
Concentrate! Keep your door closed
and your enemies closer.
Finally, don’t take the moral high horse:
if the metaphor fits, walk a mile in it.

Brian Bilston
