I think man in the iron mask is one of the best books I have ever read in my life, Dumas' Musketeer books are funny and easy to read, while also being utterly gutting and terribly frightening
That and I love Every character, they're all fantastic and as the books progress they get even better

Genuinely they are fantastic, originally Vicomte de Braggalone was like 1200 pages but they sectioned it out to (depending on the translation) Vicomte, Ten Years After, Louise de la Valliere, and then Man in the Iron Mask
Sometimes the translations will split ten years back into Vicomte and Louise
