Thinking about some streming reviews Iβve read lately:
Sometimes I want to say to critics, βYβall get down in the trenches and try doing this some of this shit. Then listen to some asshole tell you everything you did wrong.β
I am calling for a total and complete shutdown of detainees being removed from the United States to foreign prisons until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on.

Good morning.
Today is the 80th day that the U.S. President is running a backdoor bribery scheme in which any CEO or foreign oligarch can send him money secretly through his crypto coin scam in exchange for favors.
It's the biggest scandal in the history of the Presidency.
With Trump saying the tariffs on Canada and Mexico will happen, this is a great tutorial on our energy use ans what we buy and sell

5) Master the game. Knowledge is power. Learn the avenues available to challenge the "harsh reality." Pressure your elected representatives.
5/x
4) Create your vision of the "happy ending." How? Map out where you want to be in five years. This vision gives you something to work toward. Remember, in order to reach your vision, set clear goals. Work on them daily. Break down your vision into clear steps. Keep moving in the right direction.

3) Strengthen your network. Surround yourself with people who create solutions. Get involved. Create grassroots solutions. Collaborate with those who share your goals.

2) Reframe the narrative. No victims, only strategists. Look for the opportunity behind the challenges. Rights are lost when we passively accept changes. Use the media to counter disinformation. Tell your story. Educate others. Inspire action.
More to come.
2/x Ways to flip a "harsh reality" into a "happy ending."
1) Only do what only you can do. Let go of those events you cannot control. Focus on what you can control. Call your Congressman (talk to their representatives, no voicemail), vote strategically, adjust your spending. Do something!
𧡠1/x Remember when we spoke about the need for three plans? One for the "happy ending," one for the "same old same old," and one for the "harsh new reality?"
Well, a lot of people are experiencing the "harsh new reality." What to do?
I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you how to do it.
The actuaries know. They have the best models. π€
29.01.2025 20:55 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Some will say that marketers have always had liars in their ranks. True. But, lying destroys professionalism. In the case of marketing, much of the profession is at risk. Newsflash: The marketing profession will cease to exist as we know it if it just comes down to "My lies versus yours." My 2Β’. 5/5

Further, if the Pinocchio Concept of Marketing becomes pervasive, every marketer is just a liar. Not sustainable. What is more, it is wrong.
As a parent, do you want your kids to think it is OK to just lie to you? About ... Everything? Is that what you want the educator to teach your kid? 4/x
Some kids think the Pinocchio Concept of Marketing is cool. Just lie to get what you want and bank the dough-re-mi. As one student said in class, π― "I'll take the money."
But, if students use the Pinocchio Concept of Marketing, it destroys the credibility of the profession. 3/x
Marketing is often based on the Marketing Concept. The marketer achieves its objectives by satisfying another's needs.
The Pinocchio Concept of Marketing is based on the idea that the marketer achieves its objectives by lying to its customers. Is that bad?
Hell, yes. 2/x
This graphic shows Pinocchio. The fictional character whose nose grows whenever he lies.
Marketing prof here.𧡠It's the Wild West out there. Many of our most famous marketers today are just straight up LIARS. One lie after another. What I term, "The Pinocchio Concept of Marketing." Lying to get a deal. What is wrong with that? A lot. 1/x

25.01.2025 19:09 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Clear Spies, your are right about one thing. They will lie. Which makes it even more important to conduct the analysis. Watch what they DO, NOT what they say. Expect lies. Plan accordingly. My 2Β’.
25.01.2025 17:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 06/6 Finally, bring it all together. The big idea: Generate alternatives using scenarios when faced with a high level of uncertainty. This can get very complicated. But, even a simple analysis makes you think creatively. When there is a lot of uncertainty, scenarios are much safer than forecasting.
07.01.2025 17:15 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 05/6 Synthesis: Look at the trends π and uncertainties πΊ. Create causal stories to explain what is going on that is impacting your world. Explain the logic! Always ask, "Why?" Why are all these people collecting Social Security? Why are they so worried? Why are Congressmen inclined to cut benefits?
07.01.2025 17:15 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 1 π 04/6 Then, evaluate each uncertainty in both a positive and negative light. A) Create a scenario with all positive outcomes for Social Security. The "happy ending." B) Create a scenario with all negative uncertainties. The "harsh reality." C) Then, synthesize with another scenario. Tell the story! π
07.01.2025 17:15 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 03/6 Simple example using #SocialSecurity. A) Predetermined elements: the number of people collecting Social Security. B) Key trends: the increasing number of people worried about Social Security benefits. C) Key uncertainty: the number of Congressmen who will vote to cut social security.
07.01.2025 17:15 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 02/6 2) Create scenarios. (see PJH Shoemaker). Create a model focusing on the causal connections of the factors affecting you. Steps. Identify A) predetermined elements, B) key trends, and C) key uncertainties that impact a decision. Note: The process often yields greater insight than the model. π§

1/6 π§΅. Danger to report. Many policies have been promised starting January 20th: #deportation, #tariffs, #drilling, and, of course, #thewall. Need advice?
1) Avoid forecasting: Danger! There are way too many variables to predict exactly what #trump will do. You need a "pre-decision" analysis.
This graphic asks, "How to exploit change?" The answer is to take charge.
Fact: 2025 will be a "Harsh reality" for many people.
During the 2024 election, promises were made. If half of these promises are kept, it will be a harsh reality for many people. Examples: Immigration, diversity, education to name a few.
Prepare: Adapt to the new environment so you can survive.
3) A plan for the "Harsh new reality": In this case, everything in the big world is changing and affecting your little world in a bad way. Often, people have a hard time making a plan under these circumstances. Perhaps because they believe "It can't be that bad!" But, "What if it is that bad?"
20.12.2024 14:23 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 02) A plan for the "Same old same old": While the the big world changes, everything in your little world continues "as is" (more of the same). In this case, people just keep doing what they are doing because, while the big world is changing around them, not much is changing in their little world.
