Not as small as I thought though - it turns out they only give you about a tenth of the ashes from a cremation, I guess because nobody wants to haul a garbage bag full of ash home with them.

The one we buried at school for the Bicentennial was only about the size of a lunchbox, but I guess that could be a mausoleum for something small enough, like a mouse.

Every grave is a time capsule if you’re curious enough.
