Just a general "teachers rock" and I am biased as Mrs Bloom is an ex-teacher, but the Boy had an absolute melt-down going back to school today, heart-breaking in all honesty. His teacher just sent the most amazing email detailing the efforts being made to help, and ending with "even got a smile".

Quick return to Brighton. Vine Street tap again and another new brewery to me, Northbound. A great Pale here.

Kids got bored of DK Bananza so I've started a playthrough. Heck of a lot of fun for the first few hours but it does seem to be losing charm. That being said I've heard it ramps up again towards the end and post. The ability to wreck almost anything and the game not break is damn impressive as well.

Steamworld Heist 2 is pretty neat. I like all the Steamworld games, actually completed the card battler and RTS ones which I think people like less. But Heist one was just OK for me, Heist 2 seems very good though. Might have too many build options though, panic mode for me when that happens!

One of the two pubs in this place always has Proper Job on cask. Find the bottles too much, but cask is lovely, so my now annual pint is here.

Playing football Top Trumps with the Boy. He sorted all the cards out and I noticed one to the side. "So he can't lose". It was the Jota card. Love this kid.

It was very good. You could tell it was strong but wasn't any burn. Smooth as Verdant always are.

This account wont just be about beer. Was up until 2am Friday morning finishing Yakuza 0. As a man in his mid-40s a game has to REALLY grab me for that to occur. My first Yakuza game, won't be my last. Combat fine but man, what a set of characters. Will be getting Kiwami (November for Switch 2?)

A trip to Salcombe Brewery tap today (in amongst things for the kids, obv) and Atlas was surprisingly punchy flavour wise. And the bar at our accommodation has the full bottle range, so a Seahorse Amber Ale it is this evening #BskyBeer
