Sriansh, shown at age 3 smiling in a swing at his home in Lexington, Ky., is the youngest child in the world to receive life-transforming gene therapy for the rare condition AADC. Experts at Cincinnati Children's modified the clinical trial protocol to make the procedure possible for the boy when he was just 16 months old.
