if you call and they hang up on you, call back and immediately say you want to escalate to a supervisor because you were just hung up on. you don't even need to say any other details, just that you were hung up on and need to escalate

I'm glad that MasterCard's phone tree was solved. I had waited to call them until this morning, but I got a nice lady on the phone and I spoke from my wine biz perspective after reading all the news articles. 1. Played dumb with frontline customer support ("why can't I buy my friends game on Steam / Itch"). They tried to dump me to email but I escalated to a supervisor.

2. Played smart with the supervisor, and caught them in a lie... 👇
