Really clever player and a loyal servant to the club.

Plus the fun fact that he assisted (of sorts) 2 of the clubs greatest ever goals, both in the same season, for Beckham’s half way line & Cantona’s chip.

Excellent footballer, quality on the ball, but next to useless as a defensive midfielder as his legs had already gone by the time he arrived.

Guaranteed yellow card every game as players would just run past him.

Totally agree.

Think this formation needs 2 big, athletic monsters in there.

Just feels like whichever 2 are in there at the moment are non-existent, apart from Bruno to an extent when he starts there.

1st game of pre season so don’t want to draw too many conclusions….but here’s some conclusions;

Good
- Cunha. Direct & aggressive.
- Yoro’s long diagonal passes.

Bad
- Midfield 2 in this formation is non-existent.
- Hojlund looks exactly the same as last season. No aggression & not holding it up.

Elanga redemption arc?!?

Young lad that broke into United’s first team and did ok, moved on to a smaller club (who admittedly performed a lot better than we did!) and performed really well.

Hardly a ‘redemption.’ More, ‘how it’s supposed to actually work.’

Brentford want that money.

If we had put a bid in for another attacker as well as Mbeumo, Brentford would have shat themselves and snapped our hands off for £60mil!

I’m all for the approach of trying to get out of the habit of having our pants pulled down.

But surely if you’re playing that game you need to make noises about having more than 1 target!

If you make it clear you want 1 player & 1 player only, the selling club has all the leverage.

I’d be made up if I was a Palace fan.
Still get European away days and are now in a competition they could realistically win if they don’t lose too many members of their squad this summer.

Kean. Huge risk as a 1st choice & too pricey as backup.

Calvert-Lewin. No but I’d maybe risk him as a backup if we got a proper main striker as well & if we sold Hojlund.

Vardy would be useful if he was happy to literally always be sub & come on for last 10-15mins.

Wilson. Wouldn’t go near that!

I take your point but it’s strange listing players that Arsenal haven’t signed as evidence that they’re signing players and we aren’t.

At least list the 2 or 3 that they have actually signed.

Don’t shoot! The Mrs was away so I took the opportunity to watch some football.

Plus I play walking football there on a Monday so know some boys that did make the jump back in 05

Could do with Bayern Munich opening the BBC Sport ‘gossip’ section and reading the snippet above the section about them searching for a top class left winger!

I know we’re all used to it now but even so, you have to laugh!

No-one can tell me these fixtures are drawn at random. If I was into conspiracy theories I’d say they pick the fixtures on how best to create drama for Utd & then do the rest of them around that.

Pointless exercise, I know, but with the fixtures released tomorrow I’m predicting our first game of the season will be Everton away.

We know the fixtures aren’t fully drawn at random any more for various reasons so I reckon they’ll want a big game at the new ground for tv & one Everton could win.

Not that there’s actually anyone there to see them if they did show them!

I haven’t seen it in real life yet but from the pics online it just looks really, really boring.
