William Friedkin's important film CRUISING will soon be released in the UK in a lavish edition with many extras. I would also like to recommend the excellent book DEVIL’S ADVOCATES: CRUISING, written in English by Eugenio Ercolani and @stiglegger.bsky.social. An excellent read.

Leider ist der Film formal und dramaturgisch nicht stark genug für seine extreme Laufzeit. Wäre er weniger dialoglastig und würde mehr auf die visuelle Form vertrauen, sähe ich da kein Problem. Filmische Form muss Substanz sein.
