As a machinist, Amalthea is constantly maintaining her tools. The regular care and upkeep of her weaponry was a habit she picked up from her mentor. It helps her clear her mind and process the day's events. It's something she tries to do every day and brings her a sense of peace.

Amalthea grew up in the castle town around Castle Figaro with her sister Quereh and her mother Adraseteia. Due to frequent heavy rains the nearby River Lethe flooded regularly and occasionally disastrously. But sometimes it could still offer opportunities for fun.

The last time she'd seen that gods-damned spell her whole world had ended. Now it looked one more was leaving. Callieas sure wasn't going to wait around and let yet another friend get lost too. So she hoisted her friend up and got her the hells out of there!

A tall elezen woman grasps Gaius by his helmet's horns, bringing her knee up into his facemask. Her savage knee-strike amplified by a metal knee plate. Gaius is taken off-guard, grappled in the midst of a speech he'd long rehearsed. It won't stop him, but it did rattle him quite a bit.

Throughout the events of ARR a fury built in Callieas. Her grief hardened into rage. She would make the Garleans pay for what they had done. No armor or machine would keep them safe. For whom did she fight? For her wife, her love, the life she wanted back.

A blonde elezen woman kneels in the dirt, staring at her hands. Her face is split by disbelief. Behind her a crowd mills about, celebrating their good fortune to survive the Calamity. The elezen woman, clad in simple armor, is shocked and horrified that she survived without her wife.

She could feel the sun shining, she could smell the forest, she could hear people talking around her. Her mind reeled and tried to process what she already knew: she was still alive and Safa was not. The calamity had passed, but for Callieas, the world had still ended.

Safa and Callieas close their eyes, holding onto each other. They know this is the end and they're just happy to be together.

The moon crashed, a monstrous dragon emerged, and death came for the world. Yet, amidst the calamity, Callieas found Safa. She was hurt and too weak to stand, but at least the two could face the end together, just as they had promised each other.
