The Narrows at Zion full of people

When were you there to not have other people in your picture? This is what it looked like for me in June. It wasn't possible to get a picture of the river without seeing this many people.

Missouri's Johnson Shut-Ins State Park 06/21. When the water level is not too high it is a natural water park with slides, waterfalls, and potholes. Good hiking in the area too.

In the early 1980s, dad took me on a car tour of the Arizona and Utah national parks. Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Arches, and Mesa Verde. This past summer I took my two teenagers on the same trip. They already want to go back.

Thirty years ago, dad and I saw fewer people than this during our entire walk in the Narrows at Zion National Park. I would estimate there were at least 2000 people in the river when this picture was taken in June 2024 #ZionNationalPark
