None of these appointments resulted in me getting a sticker

Y’all I scheduled 5 appointments on the same day. I moved the vet appointments and took a telehealth call from the car outside my dentist’s office

“No, that’s the week before surgery, that week I’m recovering from surgery, that week I’m in tech, that week is Desert Bus, but any Monday after the 21st is fine”

That has been me for so many years. This year I lucked into a gig where I feel valued AND had 22 hours of work in the 2.5 days after DB ending. It’s not a humane schedule, but it helped. This year was a lot easier, but it feels like it was based on two dice rolls. I think creating does help

Opening & first 5 show weekend down! Usually the loneliness hits really hard after Desert Bus ends, but I feel so good about my team, this production, and cast. Despite the brutal schedule I’m just feeling really grateful to have such a rewarding gig. Thanks, Fun Home

I’m having the best time on Fun Home. My track is very busy as 3 actors play Alison Bechdel while her father Bruce played by only one actor. This is exactly the kind of challenge I love and this cast is wonderful. A very rewarding gig.

Healing from surgery is affecting my voice and my laugh is wrong… Desert Bus is a very strange time to be unsettled by your own laugh. Better to be laughing than not, but whose laugh is this???

The combination of recovering from surgery, adjusting to losing half my thyroid, and the very cool very impressive very difficult very rewarding track at work means this is the first year I haven’t been able to stay awake for the @desertbus.org Night Watch to Zeta shift change.

Working on a show & previews start 11/14 7:30pm EST so my countdown to going live is almost perfectly synchronized with @desertbus.org but I WILL be on break when Desert Bus goes live.

Is it still a “police chase” if it’s firefighters? If your rideshare gets rear ended and the other driver speeds off and your driver races after him and a bunch of firefighters pursue all of you… what would you call that?

I was on the way to get a massage bc I was a little tense.

I really hated admitting I couldn’t finish my Desert Bus craft this year. Feeling really awful about it. 😓

I once told a rideshare driver “hey I don’t want to tell you how to do your job, but we’re behind a truck on Storrow Drive so we might not wanna be right behind it” and he was like “damn, we are, thank you!”

Usually no one gets hurt, but the truck gets opened like a can of sardines. The roof just crumples up and peels off. Trillium Brewing released a “Storrowed IPA” and then they really truly managed to drive one of their trucks into the Longfellow Bridge on Storrow Drive

Allston Christmas: All leases in Boston begin and end on September 1st. Tons of stuff is on the sidewalk. Help yourself.
Storrowing: Missing a dozen signs and driving a truck into a bridge or overpass on Storrow Drive, Memorial Drive, or Soldiers Field Road.
