I really enjoyed Vaylance gameplay, such a fun and unique take on pends and how they advance up and towards the center of the board. But if you fuck up the order of operation, it'll make you want to pack up and go home.

I do think the strategies of something like trickstars or the Volcanic Emperor are some of my favorite ways to play the game. You don't actively stop your opponent from playing cards, you just punish them from doing so. And these are the few arch-types I can think of that did something like this.
