One of my favorites, like starting over in the middle of the day

I had similar troubles, always thought "oh I can make it" and never did.

What helped me to finally use "Deliver Later" is (I believe) you get slotted back into the middle of the queue line, rather than borrowing and then starting over at the end of the line.

His MTIV book is one of a small handful that I look back on as transformative to how I perceive and practice my craft. I still have it on the shelf after all these years.

I was thinking the same about "heck", what the heck is that all about?

I'm having similar considerations, so far I think I'm going to look into Mailgun but haven't made the switch yet to know how well it'll work. I only need it for a handful of transactional emails a day too.

You should be able to modify via CSS: Settings > Appearance > Custom CSS

I think it's something like `.sidebar .nav-folder`? It's been a bit but that should get you on the right track!

The .com crash was my first personal experience of how quickly things can change, it was a lesson that stuck with me ever since. I attribute my healthy skepticism and slower-than-most tech adoption to how I've survived the ensuing hype machine cycles.

"Appreciation" is too strong a word, but I do have a newfound perspective on the bits of positive progress that came from past tech bubbles after reading this.

oh and in before "it's just a beta!" as if disabled people should be excluded from betas

Still flying high from attending State of the Browser again this year, though I'm also struggling to remember what a keyboard does after the ensuing holiday.

Just for the laughs, here's a "candid" photo including me smiling at the camera. Sorry for ruining your shot @marcthiele.com!

Walked away from State of the Browser 23 cards lighter, nearly half of the box!

If you got one, reach out! Connect on social, email me, whatever. These cards are great at starting conversations, not so great at continuing them unless we connected, and I'd love to keep in touch.

I took my time over months to complete this course, really enjoyed how it was organized into but sized chapters to make that slow but steady progress easier.

It's a ton of great content and so so worth it, the fact that it also checked some CAECs off my list was a great bonus.

Last but not least, Oliver SchΓΆndorfer with Typographer vs. Accessibility!

All about readability and legibility of font typefaces, busting some accessibility myths, and promoting conscious decisions around type.

Whimsica11y by @sarajw.front-end.social.ap.brid.gy is next!

Missing the old web, blog rolls, guestbooks, lots of experimental content that may not be accessible, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

For example Alt text as part of the art, Alt text selfies, share more of yourself.

First session after lunch is Scott Riley with Mindful Design for Developers.

Rethinking the way we consider and build for the Web, with a focus on self determination rather than relying on dopamine-based extrinsic motivation.

"The browser is the best design tool we have" yes!
