I think the last actual SFF I read was probably A Short Stay in Hell. It was about a good Mormon man who goes to Hell because Mormonism is the wrong faith. Hell is an infinite library. There he must stay until he finds a book that details every single moment of his life.

This is a little different: Visiting my aunt, the kids weren't allowed to go in the main room because the grown ups were watching a movie about "a man who makes suits out of women's skin". I cried. I now love Silence of the Lambs.

Years ago I DNFd Hunger Games because I found Katniss insufferable and the camouflage scene felt like parody to me. Yet I have a lofty idea of reading the entire series in chronological order. But there are so many other books I'd rather be reading.
