Where all our Owl boxes are in South Leicestershire Phil, Little Owl are very few where has 7/8 year ago we had loads of sites. Paul and myself must do a little survey to see what the status is again.

WeBS count done today, can’t remember the last time I’ve seen seen so much water on the patch, so relatively quiet.

A trip to Derbyshire for Saturday footie Staveley MWFC Res v Worksop Town FC with @davidearlgray.bsky.social & @shrikebirding.bsky.social The home side winning 4-1 Prior to the game we spent a good a couple of hours at Carr Vale NR for Marsh and Willow Tit the former showing briefly.

After my holiday, it was back to Saturday footie with @davidearlgray.bsky.social But first it was trip to Fillingham in Lincs for a Great Grey Shrike.
Then to watch Fulbeck Utd v Wyberton FC not the best game to come back to.

The Ring-necked Duck at Straws Bridge showed ridiculously well.
Ilkeston Town 3 v Morpeth Town 1 First half wasn’t the best, second half, Ilkeston decided to try a little harder.
