Who was it that had Colbert and Stewart "taken off the ...airwaves" in 2014? I don't recall the Daily Show off the air. The Colbert Report was on until Dec 2014 and his Late Show began in Sept of 2015. They were hardly absent from the political scene leading up to the nomination.

Which party controls the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate, which approved all the appointments for the cabinet and agency heads, who fired existing agency staff and hired the new ones? On yeah, Republicans. So Republicans "manipulated the weather" to flood Texas?

It is not a complex cognitive task to think through the differences between citizens wearing masks to prevent the transmission of disease versus "law enforcement" wearing masks to hide their identities. Only Fox News would have difficulty distinguishing the difference.

Where in the Constitution does it give the executive branch the power to remove the elected officials of any city or state simply because the executive disagrees with what they perceive to be the politics of those officials? Nowhere!

Because one doesn't live in a particular US city it is not foreign. Because a US city has immigrants living there neither make them criminals nor make the city foreign. Because the leadership of a US city does things the President does not like, does not make it foreign. NO military.

ICE is a domestic branch of law enforcement, not an international spy organization. The latter needs anonymity, the former needs the light of day. Not only should ICE agents be unmasked and wearing ID's, they should be wearing body cams and carrying warrants for individuals detained..

Because Stephen Miller doesn't care. He wants the number of immigrants deported to be high. Snatching women and children, law abiding immigrants at their ICE hearings, work places and schools is easier than pursuing actual criminals. Criminals never were the real targets. They were a campaign ploy.

The tragedy in all this theater is that both want awful things for our country. Sadly, one or both of them will still win and the awful things will still affect our country.

Rural recipients of Medicaid will not feel Medicaid is stronger if hospitals in their region close due to the cuts. Having "insurance" with no place to use it is no bargain. Being cut from Medicaid while unable to afford other insurance is a fast track to illness and early death.
