even though
where I came from

Daily Spontaneous Poem #3810
after perusing news
much of it disconcerting
stepping outside

Daily Spontaneous Poem #3724 (3/30/2025)
if my last name was different
if my skin color was different
if I wasn’t born here

looking back
those paths taken
some purposely
some accidentally
all led to here
this moment
where I’m at now
were one path taken
another way
where would I be now

filling these first jars
as it was way back then
