The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.

Hyperion is great. Book 2 in that series is pretty good too but I stopped after that because it got a little weird. If you like sci fi check out John Scalzi’s collapsing empire series, or his Old Man’s War book/series. He’s got a really fun writing style

I will never understand why Amazon discontinued the Kindle Oasis. The best form factor by a wide margin, and physical buttons make one handed use a breeze. And my left-handed wife also appreciates how easy it is to flip it.
