These actions could potentially cost jobs, raise prices, and stifle economic growth in Maryland. What we've seen from the White House today is not what responsible government looks like. Their actions have caused unnecessary confusion and instability across our state.
My full statement on the Trump-Vance Administration's freeze on federal funding:
Make no mistake — these are ILLEGAL impoundments of funds approved by Congress. We will fight by this with everything we’ve got.

Press On.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Americans around the country join together in service in honor of the life and the light of Dr. King.
We know that we stand on his shoulders and through acts of service, we put his teachings into action as we march on together.

The peaceful transfer of power is a hallmark of our democracy – especially when elections do not turn in our favor. Democrats remain steadfast in our support of the democratic values our country was founded on and will always work to ensure that our democratic processes and institutions continue to function in service of the American people, whether we win or lose.
