I think a lot of people who would generally like to read more trans books are also passively waiting for their cis faves to talk about them, and that's not gonna happen haha.

Cis people [generally] don't pay attention to us. WE pay attention to us. I can recommend TONS of great trans authors.

So if you want more trans books for you or your kids or your students, please look to /actual/ trans people sharing them because we have the knowledge of what's out there!

And this goes for any identity, really. They're *all* out there somewhere. You just have to look beyond the mainstream for them

In my own case, an attempt to spin my writing life into some kind feel-good Rocky-esque narrative feels wildly disingenuous. I've struggled with self-confidence which has negatively affected my writing output for years, but that's no different from anyone else. I'd hate to embellish anything.
