One of the FIRST thing that made me become better at art after decades of stagnation was that Talent does not exist, and drawing is like any skill, something you learn and practice

Literally anybody can draw, anyone can create, and I will never stop encouraging and backing up those who try to do so

You see a person standing on a mountain's peak and assume they were born there.

"I could NEVER make something that amazing. I'm not talented like them." Have you tried? You don't see all the invisible effort and practice of the person you're talking about. You don't see their failures, their first drafts, their stick figures, their how-to-draw-anime early steps.

The harm that believing that "having natural talent" is the end all be all to self expression and the acquisition of skill is probably one of the most harmful things to the way people view art imo.
If you want an expressive skill, nurture it. Practice it. Do it even if you suck at it at first.
