Final year PhD students, I know you’re desperately trying to finish experiments/revisions/submissions/write a thesis & just survive - but please spare a few minutes to apply to your dream postdoc labs.

It easily takes A YEAR from first contact, even if everything goes to plan on both sides.

New paper is out! We have studied the cute tiny Discocelia plataet sp. n. to obtain the first molecular data of the order Discocelida and clarify its cell structure. All this for a better understanding of the evolution of Cercozoa.

My postdoc has come to an end. We achieved a lot in 3 months! 🧬

- Detection of the disease agent infecting Chayote
- Validation meeting with local stakeholders
- Presented an online seminar on eDNA to >250 postgrads in the 🇵🇭

🌱 I am now looking for new opps in environmental microbiology research! 🌱
