May love open our hearts
May the love flow between our hearts
May loveness expand my heart
May we love in form and formlessness
In presence and in absence
In thoughts, words and actions
In all possible ways

01.04.2025 23:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We wonder what to practice, how much to practice, what is the best time to practice. It is impossible to answer these questions without getting in touch with the body, listening to its needs and rhythms. It is also impossible to understand the body, its needs and rhythms without learning basic Ayurveda. it is Ayurveda that gives context to Yoga (practices). We tend to make our Yoga a mindless repetition of asanas and pranayama. Sometimes we wish that someone tells us what to practice and how much. However both these choices have a certain degree of laziness, ignorance, and dependency. Yoga is not something that you practice mindlessly and then expect results. All those promises of Yoga are true but in order to experience that truth we must study. We must study ourselves, our breath, emotions, reactions. We must study nature, its cycles, and its rhythms. We must then draw a connection between the self and the nature. This is exactly what is Ayurveda. It is not just a system of medicine, supplement, detox, and spa. It is a philosophy first!

Touching the toes is not the goal of Yoga. Frankly speaking- It’s quite a stretch. Pun intended.
It was always the stretch, never the toes. It was always the philosophy, never the pose. It was always the person, never the technique. It was always the context, never (just) the content.

Mantras vs. Common Confusions
Mantras are often mistaken for affirmations, catchphrases, and slogans. However, what sets mantras apart is their origin from ancient Indian texts, imbuing them with deep spiritual significance.
It’s okay to be overwhelmed, confused, and conflicted in Yoga. we must be ready to go through the ebb and flow in order to dive deep within. It is a sign of maturity to hold two conflicting views. It is not either-or. It is this-and-that.
Think, because we can.
It is not only unrealistic but also ignorant to expect someone who practices Yoga to be calm, clear, grounded at all times. We all are a work in progress when it comes to Yoga. The difference is some people are trying and the “A” here goes to the effort not the expectations.

Do you have imposter syndrome? How do you deal with it?
It keeps me humble. It does not prevent me from living my dharma. I welcome it to keep the ego in check. Keep learning, not from the FOMO but to know that learning demands unlearning and working with one’s own blind spots.

✅ The reason for incomprehension is not because they are indecipherable but because they are subtle
✅ Mantras are not codes of success and manifestation but those of insight, awakening and realization

Have you wondered if it counts as Yoga Nidra or Shavasana if you fall asleep?
Yes, it does. A sincere, dedicated, honest effort counts every single time. Even if you could not experience Yoga Nidra or Shavasana, what you did experience was what was needed by the body. No shame in Yoga.

The traditional antecdent of the word Yoga has been Bhakti, Raja, Hatha, Karma, Laya, Mantra, Nada etc. not Goat, Beer, Chocolate, Hot, Cold, Slow, Fast, Snake, Nude, Doga, Broga, Roga, HIIT, SUP etc.
Quite frankly- It is absurd!

There is so much that words cannot convey when it comes to Yoga. If we simply rely words to convey the essence we will miss what Yoga truly is. There is no words for non-experiences in practices like Yoga Nidra and Meditation. The more we rely on verbal expressions, the more we dilute what Yoga is.

Hi!!!
02.02.2025 15:43 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Are we playing whac-a-mole with Yoga? With some prioritizing asana, others mantra, some others therapy, some philosophy, while some others mediation etc.
It is a body of wisdom and a state achievable with tools as well as without them.
The purpose of Yoga is Yoga.
