Like no, marrying a bi man “to fight the patriarchy” is not the same as marrying a gay man because he’s terrified of being a social outcast or worse. Ahhh.

Comparing 1950s/pre-equality lavender marriages to asexual relationships or mixed sexuality relationships is insane. Making it about the fighting patriarchy is even crazier.

That WaPo article on lavender marriages might actually be what makes me walk into the woods.

The Katie Porter thing is a good reminder that, separate from the briefcase carrier epidemic, many of the 2010s-early 2020s icons of the party were/are extremely toxic to their staff and it’s been well known in dc circles.
