Yes! Those tools are really good even nowadays (not that I don't use modern tools too heh)

But I think doing things the fastest way possible takes away some good observation insights and learning that only came out working with attention and enjoying

That's really nice! where I used to live is very humid, so we must have a very constant concern with rust. So, oiling the tools and making sure they are kept away from the wet dust is a great initial project (I'm already taking notes to do this one day, besides a functional workbench to start 😅)

Man, I think you are doing great with your workshop, really! you're making some nice work that I see from time to time (I wish to someday have my own personal workshop too!) As a person who loves to find old things and restore them, I totally get what you mean, hehe

It's really nice to find those things! It's like a piece of history, and some of those still work great nowadays, like the enxó (the left one, sorry, I don't know the english name for this 😅) It's really great for roughing out large pieces of green wood and getting them ready to carving
