Someone had reposted an article from a sus news source, reporting "Japanese game studio is making applicants draw in front of them during interviews to prove they don't use generative AI" The photo for said article is a Japanese office setting, where someone is drawing on a tablet opposite some dudes who look like they're interviewing him

Zoomed in detail on the photo shows the sign on the table, which from far away, looks to a regular person to be Japanese. It's garbled nonsense, only "NO" and "AI" are legible, none of these are real kanji. And the "no smoking" style cross-out is over a totally nebulous drawing, i have no clue what that is supposed to be. There's also a vague tea beverage here that looks like every major brand of tea were put in the machine from The Fly

Hot take perhaps, but the environmental impact of AI is far worse and more worrying than the plagiarism or copyright issues... and the conversation largely being focused on the latter is honestly frustrating.
